ENCHANTING WOODLAND WEDDING

Megan & Jordan’s wedding day can only be described as a DIYers delight. It fell in the heart of Fall 2018, and we’re still here a year later talking about their personal touches + DIY prowess. From wearing sneakers with her wedding dress, to styling the tables with hand-dyed runners, to the MOB winning forager of the year, this couple created a celebration that was an authentic reflection of their own lives.

They are Durham locals and one of the first couples to enjoy The Meadows for a full weekend wedding retreat with their friends + family. From their first tour through their first morning as a married couple, every time we saw Megan & Jordan at The Meadows they were all smiles and surrounded by their favorite people. Show me a more beautiful way to start your own family!

Megan + Jordan were also our first introduction to Lindsey Cash Photography; while we’ve seen several stunning wedding and engagement sessions with Lindsey since, we’ll always remember our first *gasp* moment browsing through their complete album. Her photos are crips, romantic, true to color, and capture so much expression + mood.

Speaking of beautiful, this wedding was Bowerbird Flowers’ first foray into styling The Meadows; she integrated Megan + Jordan’s style seamlessly with our own half-wild half-refined landscape. Protea is always a pretty choice, but it deviated from it’s typical tropical feel and took on a bohemian persona for the day. Probably the most stunning element was the array of texture + color: Queen Anne’s lace, Sahara Spray Roses, a dash of Feverfew Daisy’s, Holly, and fillers in greens + reds. If ever there was a recipe for an artistic Fall bouquet, this would be it.
